  • Managing News: an open source, curatable RSS/Atom based news tracker with search, republishing and mapping capabilities, and support for semi-automated tagging and geotagging.
  • The Ushahidi Platform: an open source incident reporting and aggregation system that allows reports to be submitted by phone, email, Twitter or from a web browser, and which allows them to be filtered by incident type, date, location or geographic proximity. For those wanting to use Ushahidi without having to configure their own server, there's Crowdmap, an easy-to-provision, hosted version.
